I found Omaha Ballroom in early September 2007, quite by accident really. I was sitting at a traffic light and saw anOmaha Ballroom sign at the curb I called and began my introduction to dance with Elizabeth Edwards.Elizabeth is an expert dancer, a great instructor, and her energy and enthusiasm for dance is really a joy to experience;Because of her lively personality and sense of humor, Elizabeth's classes are fun, thereby making the learning process less stressful She takes personal interest in her student's growth and their success in learning dance. Elizabeth is responsible for inspiring and motivating me to continue my dance work.;Along with her expert instruction and encouragement I gain the confidence I need to dance at the social dances held by Omaha Ballroom, among others.;I've met many dancers at these dance events, some of whom I now count among my best friends.Compared to other dance shops I';ve visited or researched, Omaha Ballroom provides an affordable learning experience, with excellent tutelage, a fun environment and opportunities to practice at various social dances while making new acquaintances. We came to Omaha Ballroom 2 years ago to introduce our 14 year old son to the many benefits of social dancing. My wife and I had previously taken lessons for 2 years at Arthur Murray Seattle and thought our son would enjoy learning to dance. We have been amazed at how good Elizabeth Edwards is with kids. She is really enthusiastic and great at making students feel at ease. After seeing how good a teacher Eliz. is with our son we started taking lessons from Elizabeth and have learned so much in almost 2 years. She is great at teaching steps but more importantly she teaches things like timing, technique and the character of a dance which really elevates dance to something much more interesting and challenging. Elizabeth is great for both the novice dancer and and those wanting to be more intermediate or advanced amateur dancers. Elizabeth is highly ethical and NEVER puts any sales pressure on her students. My husband and I took a beginners east coast swing and waltz classes. We loved it! Elizabeth gave great feedback. She was always patient and enthusiastic. The class consisted of a variety of experience levels. We look forward to taking more classes at Omaha Ballroom!
